Kathie Lee Gifford hosts the second annual Born for Broadway concert — to benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation — Oct. 4 at 8 PM at New World Stages.

Ragtime Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge directs the evening, which features musical direction by Larry Yurman.

The producers of the long-running off-Broadway musical
“DANNY and SYLVIA: The Danny Kaye Musical” announced a special promotion during August, 2010.  If you can prove your name is either DANNY or SYLVIA, you will receive two tickets for the price of one.  Just bring your proof of ID to the St. Luke’s Box Office at least 30 minutes prior to any performance in August. Wanda_Sykes_to_Lead_ANNIE_as_Miss_Hannigan_for_Media_Theatre_20010101BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that comedian Wanda Sykes will be leading the Media Theatre’s production of ANNIE as ‘Miss Hannigan’ – the iconic child-hating orphanage director with an affinity for alcoholic beverages – this holiday season.  Sykes will open the production on November 23 and close the production on January 16, 2011 following a Christmas absence.  The theater today released an audition notice and are seeking all roles, including a cover for Sykes while the star fulfills her holiday commitments.  The production will be directed by Media Artistic Director Jesse Cline and musical directed by Tom Fosnocht.  Rehearsals begin November 8, 2011. 2010 Tony Nominations

A Little Night Music Tony Award nominees Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones

“Glee” and Spring Awakening star Lea Michele and God of Carnage‘s Jeff Daniels announced the nominations for the 64th Annual Tony Awards May 4 at the The New York Public Library for Performing Arts.

The new musical Fela!, which began life Off-Broadway, and the revival of La Cage aux Folles, earned 11 nominations a piece, the most of any production of the season.

The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on CBS June 13. For more information, visit http://www.TonyAwards.com.

Justin Timberlake Will Be ‘Roger’ in RENT at Hollywood Bowl?

BroadwayWorld.com’s West Coast Scoopers are telling us this morning that the buzz from the auditions for RENT at the Hollywood Bowl are saying that none other than pop-star and actor Justin Timberlake is director Neil Patrick Harris‘ top choice to play ‘Roger’ in the 3 night production.

The rumors aren’t totally out of the realm of possiblity as Timberlake is said to have enjoyed all three nights of girlfriend Jessica Biel‘s performance in GUYS & DOLLS at the
