Candace Bushnell is releasing a book chronicling the life of Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager.
The LA Times writes that The Carrie Diaries, released later this month, paints Carrie as a “small-town teenager trying to find herself”.
Bushnell said “This is not Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager in 2009, this is Carrie Bradshaw in the late ‘70s.
“It was a time when young women for the first time…were being told to go college, to have a career, to pursue your dreams”
Will we find out where Carrie got Manolo Blahniks (shoes!) obsession from and if there was a Mr Little before Mr Big?

According to Publishers Weekly, Bushnell is already working on the sequel to her prequel which will chronicle Carrie’s post-graduation summer in New York where she meets the first of her Sex and the City palsSamantha Jones.
If you can’t wait that long for your SATC fix, Sex and the City 2 is out next month
